It is recommended that the filter is swapped out every 3 months because the filter can get clogged and may result in poor air flow in the home. The height, length and width of the filter is not a choice that needs to be made because of the constraint of your air handler. Major signs of a worsening filter
- The air filter looks dusty and replacing it would be best today
- It is suggested to swap out your air filter four times a year so as to have cleaner breathable air
- If you hold it up to the light, it does not shine on the opposite side of the dirt filled filter
