Carrier GT-S Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is a safety feature that senses the precise flame during ignition. As expected, if the sensor goes off the furnace cannot start again for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
Important signs the Carrier flame sensor will soon need to be replaced
- Your gas furnace refuses to generate heat and spits out an error code on the main board
- The LP or natural gas will not burn and shut down
- HVAC system will run rarely at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
