Carrier KFCEH0901N10 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of keeping the compressor cool, because as the compressor gets hot the heat must be dissipated. It can be replaced on its own as this will make it a lot easier to install and reduce the price overall. Take the time to ensure you buy a replacement motor with the voltage that is the same and the correct amp listing as it is on the current motor.
Clues of a faulty compressor fan motor
- You can hear a grinding noise when the motor turns
- The main cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks as it turns
- The Carrier cooling motor cannot turn at all
