This heat element forces the air to be heated up before it is distributed through the ducts. Your heating system cannot possible make any warmed air for an entire house if the heating element is damaged.
Some clues the main heat element will have to be replaced
- Heat is not being emitted by the system whatsoever
- Furnace element can not heat up or get hot enough due to being worn out
- Furnace element looks terrible, broken and in rough shape

Before buying or purchasing, do your due diligence and make sure of the correct model as well as make a visual inspection so that you are positive that the correct replacement heat element is being ordered. There is no rule that says you have to replace the part all by yourself. Hire someone with experience in your area to replace the part.
