Carrier KFCEH1401N09 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat has got to be dissipated. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced with the blade or without as this will make it a lot easier to install and will reduce the costs you need to pay. Just make certain you find one with the proper voltage and amps as on the current fan motor.
Cues to watch for in a failing condenser fan motor
- The Carrier cooling motor fails to spin the blade
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks as it spins
- An unpleasant scraping sound as the motor starts
