Carrier KFCEH1701C15 Limit Switch
One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
Simple warnings that your limit switch most likely is almost going bad?
- The heating and AC system will not start or will not stay running for any length of time
- The system starts to run inconsistently on more than one occasion
