The Carrier KFCEH1801F20 control board is designed to direct the gas valve, the igniter, all the various sensors as well as the blower all together. Your air handler will be unable to run at all unless this important circuit board is accurately installed and configured. A replacement board should have a replacement part number that matches both the make and model of furnace or air handler you have. Be very careful when you choose a replacement due to the many differences between models and types.
