The compressor fan motor has a unique job of cooling the outdoor compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat that needs to be driven away. Be certain the replacement motor has the same voltage as well as amps as it is on the current motor. The unit may be replaced on its own as this tends to make things easier and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
