Carrier P3 Control Board
The control board is created to operate the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors and the blower all in one unit. It is impossible for your furnace or air handler to even operate whatsoever unless this important circuit board is accurately installed and configured. You must do some research when you decide to replace your control board due to so many small differences in brands, models and types of systems. The chosen circuit board will need to be a match with your existing board and be compatible with both the brand and specific model of the unit you have installed.
Signs your main board has very little life left
- There is a type of code shown on the circuit board
- The unit does not go properly
- The control board needs to be reset rather frequently for it to run
