Carrier P3 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat has got to be driven away. Please make sure the replacement motor has the same voltage as well as amperage as it is on the bad motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced on its own as this tends to make things easier and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
Key signs of a poorly performing fan motor
- A distinct squeaking sound while the motor turns
- The cooling motor catches fire or shorts out when it is spinning
- The Carrier cooling motor tries but fails to turn the blade
