Carrier P4 Control Board
HVAC systems will not be able to function without the control board configured and seated properly. The Carrier P4 control board is made to operate the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the various sensors and the blower all at once. You must be sure when you decide to replace your control board due to so many small differences in HVAC systems. The correct control board should match the model number with both the make and model of HVAC system.
Major symptoms to watch for in a bad main board
- Air conditioning or heating system does not go period
- The system has to be reset quite often in order to continue running
- Could be an a fault code appearing on the board
