The compressor fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be discharged into the air outside. The motor can be replaced solely on its own, this makes installation simpler and reduce the price overall. Just make sure you buy a replacement motor with the voltage that is the same and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the bad motor.
