Carrier P4 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the heat exchanger that decides when the air is warm enough for the air to begin normal home circulation. This is important because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
How do you know when your limit type switch really is almost dead?
- The heating and AC system refuses to kick in or run well even though max temp has not been reached
- The system is starting to behave differently more often than not
