Carrier RVR Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor control board will determine when to initiate an important defrosting cycle which may be needed in order to remove frost build-up that may accumulate. The defrost board depends on a temperature sensor that can be found near the condenser, in order to agree when to begin.
Important clues of a worsening defrost sensor board
- The defrost sequence has not run for quite some time despite the fact that there is quite a bit frost in the way
- Your main control board may issue a particular error code if the defrost control board fails
- The AC may stop working due to the fact of frost blocking the fins on the outside unit
