A very basic thermistor is a type of resistor that has a fluctuating resistance that is governed by thermal temperature. The heating system takes the temperature in order to understand what is going on. They convey to the main board when the temperature reaches a certain point.
Simple indications of an ailing all-important thermister
- The AC and heat system may never begin because of the thermistor that is malfunctioning
- The system blower could refuse in the attempt to begin full speed blowing
