Carrier RVS Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost control board will begin an important defrosting cycle which may be necessary to keep the outdoor unit free from frost build-up. The defrost board is relayed information from a specific sensor located somewhere by the condenser to agree when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
What happens when my Carrier defrost sensor board is dying?
- Your HVAC system will not work for the simple fact of the amount of frost on the outdoor unit
- The main board could display an error of some type referring to a failing defrost control board
- Self defrost sequence never initiates even when there is a large quantity of frost on the outdoor unit
