Carrier ZW Limit Switch
Limit switches are crucial because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. A normal limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that can determine if and when the air is warmed to a point for the air to begin normal home circulation.
How can I tell if my limit switch is failing?
- The Carrier system starts to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly often
- The heating and cooling system refuses to start or continue to run for any length of time
