Coleman DGAA056BDTA Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat energy has to be dissipated. Be sure you get the correct voltage listed and amperage listed as it is on the current motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced individually as this will make it a lot easier to install and cheaper for you.
Main clues your fan motor will eventually need to be replaced
- An audible scraping sound while the cooling fan is just starting
- The Coleman cooling motor does not move the blade
- The cooling motor begins to smoke or throws sparks when it begins to turn
