The filter in the wall unit has the basic duty of removing small dust molecules and other miniscule particles as it passes through. This helps help keep the wall unit from building up too much dust and make it work much more efficient while, at the same time, filtering the air you breathe in your house. Due to the amount of dust in the house, the filter should be changed out or perhaps washed at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.

- When you hold it up, the light cannot show through a clogged air filter
