Danby DPAC10010 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a certain type of resistor whose rated resistance is dependent on the thermal temperature. The main control board interprets the temperature in a few critical areas to be sure everything is going well. They convey to the heating and cooling system when a temperature has been reached.
Major clues the system thermister needs replacing
- The system could never start up due to a bad thermistor
- The blower could never begin in its attempt to engage full speed spinning
