Danby DPAC10011 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, whose resistance changes as it depends on current temperature. They notify the circuit board when the temperature reaches a certain point. The control board interprets the temperature in some specific areas of the system to know what to do next.
Symptoms your all-important thermister will die soon
- The heating and AC system may not operate because of the failed thermistor
- Primary blower could fail in the attempt to ramp up the airflow
