Danby DPAC12010H Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a certain type of resistor which has a resistance that is solely dependent on thermal temperature. The furnace or AC deciphers the temp throughout the whole system to do its job as it should. They tell the HVAC system when the temperature has been reached.
How do you know if your temp regulating thermister is about to go out?
- The main fan could refuse to begin to ramp up the airflow
- The whole system could possibly not even begin due to any one bad thermistor
