Danby DPAC9030 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be discharged into the air outside. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without the necessity of buying a fan blade too, this will reduce install time and reduce the price overall. Please make sure you find one with the correct voltage and amps as it is on the bad motor.
Major clues your Danby fan motor should be replaced
- The compressor cooling motor begins to smoke or throws sparks while in use
- The Danby motor fails to spin at all
- A specific rubbing noise while the cooling fan is just starting
