A limit switch was crafted because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch is a switch located in the furnace that makes the determination when the heated air is actually warm enough for the blower to be activated.
Signs limit type switch will not live much longer
- The whole system is starting to shut down unexpectedly more than once
- The heating and AC system will not begin the ignition sequence nor will it stay running even though max temp has not been reached
