A transformer is commonplace in many manufactured goods including your AC or furnace as it changes a normal current of electricity to a different voltage, 120V to 12V, for example. Transformers can have different specs and you must follow specific amps and voltages needed. If a replacement is necessary, then make sure to get one that is measured to the right voltage that is desired.

- Inexact volts can be measured stemming from the main transformer
