It is recommended that the filter that filters out particles from your home is exchanged for a new one every 90 days or so due to the filter clogging up and restricting the flow of air through the ducts. All air filters are made in lots of filtering levels, in which the one you choose will depend on your desire for cleaner air and air handler size requirements.
