Delonghi C100 Limit Switch

Limit switches exist because if the air never warms up then you will never get hot air through the ducts. The limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that senses, or governs, if and when the air is actually warm enough to activate the main blower.

Red flags of a defective limit switch

The system starts to become unpredictable occasionally
The HVAC system will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running longer than a minute
