The control board is created to direct everything including the gas valve, the igniter, most sensors as well as the air circulator all in one unit. The HVAC system will be unable to operate whatsoever lest this board is accurately installed and configured. Be absolutely sure upon choosing a board as a replacement because of the diversity of HVAC systems. A matching board should have a replacement part number that matches both the brand and specific model of your heating and cooling system.
