Desa R165A Limit Switch
Limit switches exist because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that can determine when the heated air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Major indications limit switch has little life left
- The HVAC system will not begin or will not stay running longer than 30 seconds
- The HVAC system is starting to run inconsistently time after time
