Desa R60 Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, when the heated air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. Limit switches exist due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Indications of a poorly performing limit type switch
- The system begins to stop suddenly frequently
- System will not begin or will not stay running even though max temp has not been reached
