A draft inducer, or vent blower, is one of a great many safety features on your furnace. Also known as a draft inducer, as it supplies proper draft for a purer and much safer gas combustion.The vent motor was created to induce the movement of air and excess gas out of the furnace.

- There is no electric current given off by the motor even though there should be
- Main blower can not ramp up
- Main draft inducer will not run all through the ignition sequence
