EdgeStar AP12000S Control Board
The control board is made to operate the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors and the blower all at once. Heating and cooling systems will not even be able to function lest this board is in its proper place and configured for your unit. The board you select will have to be compatible with both the make and model of the system you have installed. You must be sure while choosing a new control board due to so many small differences in models and types.
Important clues of a deteriorating main board
- There may be some sort of code directly on the circuit board
- Power to the circuit board has to be reset habitually in order to run
- The furnace or AC is unable to go period
