The main heat element lets the air be warmed prior to the blower having it scattered through the ducts. Your heating system cannot possible make any normal amount of heat to efficiently heat, if the heating element is damaged.
What are the indications that my primary heating element is on its last leg?
- The heat element looks old, broken and looks like it should be replaced
- Furnace element does not heat up or reach the desired temperature due to being worn out
