Edgestar AP14003W Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a special kind of new age resistor whose rated resistance is dependent on the current temperature. The system deciphers the temp in certain areas to ensure that things are as they should be. They notify the main board when a certain temperature reaches a certain point.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my thermister is not working right?
- The system blower could refuse in its attempt to ramp up to full speed
- The whole system may not even start depending on which is the broken thermistor
