The air filter has the basic duty of filtering minute dust particles and other small elements from the air in the house. This simple filter can keep the unit clean and make it operate way more efficiently while, at the same time, filtering the air in your home. While doing regular cleaning of the houseZZZcommmaZZZ the unit filter must be swapped out for a new one or simply cleaned a few times a year in order to keep things clean.
Some warnings the dust filter is not going to last much longer
- The main air filter appears filthy and crammed with dust badly
- If you lift the air filter up to a source of bright light, the light does not shine on the opposite side of the filter
- It is advised to switch out the air filter in your unit about every 90 days to help prevent mold and bacteria build-up
