Friedrich EL36 Fan Capacitor
The unit capacitor is typically designed to limit the speed of the fan of the blower unit. A few manufacturers make replacing the capacitor really easy, while all the rest make it more difficult than it should.
General indicators that your wall unit fan capacitor will not last the year
- Main fan capacitor looks like it was burnt and melted in the unit
- You can only occasionally make adjustments to rate adjuster for the primary blower
