Friedrich MW36C3G Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a specific duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, due to the large amount of heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. The unit may be replaced on its own without the blade, this will reduce install time and a little less costly, as well. It is important that you find one with the voltage that is the same and correct amp current as it is on the bad motor.
Simple signals the fan motor will eventually need to be replaced
- The main cooling motor starts to smoke or shorts out when in use
- The Friedrich cooling motor fails to spin at all
- You may hear screeching sound as the motor stops
