Friedrich P12B-A Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is an important safety feature that senses the acceptable flame upon ignition. For obvious reasons, if the sensor get triggered the furnace cannot start again until the problem is dealt with.
Red flags your safety flame sensor is going out
- The gas that has entered the furnace will not burn and some type of error flashes on the main board
- The heating system will run infrequently barely
- The gas furnace will not ramp up when the control board tells it to
