Friedrich PH14B Limit Switch
The limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the heat exchanger that makes the determination when the heated air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated. Limit switches are built because if the air never warms up the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
What are some hints that my chief limit switch is in need of replacing?
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or run well as it should
- The system is starting to ramp up but then stops on a regular basis
