The filter has the basic duty of removing small dust molecules and other tiny bits from the inside air inside the home. The filter can both protect the unit and make it work a lot better at doing its job while also cleaning the air you breathe. Because of this, the filter should probably be exchanged or simply cleaned at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.
Simple signals the dust filter is not going to last much longer
- Manufacturers have advised to swap out your air filter every three months in order to keep the air free from too much dust
- The unit air filter looks like it is filled with dust and must be replaced right away
- If you were to lift up the filter, the light is unable to shine on the opposite side of the dirt filled filter
