The filter is the best line of defense when filtering out dust and other miniscule particles from the inside air inside the home. This can both protect the unit and make it run much more efficient while cleaning the dust out of the air you breathe all day. Because of the nature of filtering air, the filter should be replaced or cleaned at least twice a year if not more, depending on how much you use it.
What are some hints that my filter is on its last leg?
- It is greatly advised to switch out the air filter in your unit every three months to help purify the air indoors
- Sunlight will almost not infiltrate to the opposite side of a completely clogged filter
- The system air filter looks dusty and maybe should be replaced right away
