The unit filter is the best line of defense when filtering out dust and other tiny bits as it is being forced through the system. The filter can both protect the unit and make it run more efficient while, at the same time, filtering the air you breathe. Due to the amount of dust in the house, the filter should be simply replaced or cleaned at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.

- Light will not shine through to the other side of the filter at all
