The filter is good at removing small dust molecules and other miniscule particles as it is being forced through the system. The filter can both protect the unit and help it be more efficient while also filtering the air breathe in and out everyday. Due to the amount of dust in the house, the filter should be replaced or cleaned at least twice a year if not more, depending on how much you use it.
General indicators that your the primary air filter probably needs to be replaced
- The air filter looks dirty and maybe should be replaced without delay
- When you hold it up, the light cannot show on the other side a completely clogged filter
- It is highly recommended to replace your air filter every season of the year to keep the air inside clean and free of harmful dust
