This simple filter can protect the unit and make it operate way more efficiently while, at the same time, filtering the dust out of the air you breathe all day. Because it is really easy to do, the air filter must be replaced or perhaps washed periodically in order to keep things clean.
Some clues your main filter is on its last leg
- The air filter looks bad and should be replaced ASAP
- Manufacturers have advised to switch out the air filter in your unit four times a year so as to have cleaner breathable air
- When you hold the filter up to the light, it cannot show through a completely clogged filter
