The air filter is responsible for filtering minute dust particles and other unwanted bits from the air in the house. The filter can both make the unit cleaner and make it operate way more efficiently while cleaning the air in your home. While doing regular cleaning of the houseZZZcommmaZZZ the filter should probably be replaced or perhaps washed a few times a year depending on how much you use it.
How do you know when your filter has a need to be replaced?
- When you hold it up, the light will almost not permeate to the other side of the filter
- Many pros have recommended to switch out the air filter in your unit about every three months to help prevent mold and bacteria build-up
- The air filter looks dirty and must be replaced ASAP
