The unit filter is designed to be good at trapping really small dust parts and other small elements from the inside air inside the home. This filtering system will help protect the unit and help it be more efficient while, at the same time, filtering the air you breathe. Because it is really easy to do, the filter should be changed out or possible scrubbed clean a few times a year in order to keep things clean.
Major indications to an under performing air filter
- It is suggested to switch out the air filter in your unit about every 90 days for clean air inside the house
- The system air filter looks very bad and it would be best to replace it immediately
- Sunlight is unable to shine through to the other side of the air filter
