A changeable air filter was designed for filtering minute dust particles and other tiny bits from the air in the house. The filter can both make the unit cleaner and help it be more efficient while, at the same time, filtering the air you breathe. Because of the nature of filtering air, the filter should probably be simply replaced or perhaps washed a few times a year in order to keep things clean.
