The air filter is responsible for filtering minute dust particles and other small elements as it passes through. This can both keep the unit clean and make it run a lot better at doing its job while, at the same time, filtering the air in your home. During regular maintenance the filter should probably be changed out or cleaned periodically depending on how much you use it.
Do you know if your primary air filter is in need of replacing?
- The main filter looks dirty and maybe should be replaced today
- It is recommended to replace your air filter about every 90 days in order to have clean air running through the unit
- If you lift the air filter up to a source of bright light, the light will not permeate to the other side of a dirty filter
