The filter has the basic duty of removing microscopic dust and other unwanted bits as it is being forced through the system. The filter can both keep the unit clean and help it be a lot better at doing its job while also filtering the air you breathe. Because of this, it should be swapped out for a new one or perhaps washed at least twice a year if not more, depending on how much you use it.
Cues of an ineffective main filter
- If you were to lift up the filter, the light is unable to show on the other side the dirt filled filter
- The unit air filter looks gray or brown and maybe should be replaced as soon as humanly possible
- It is greatly suggested to swap out your air filter about every 90 days to help prevent mold and bacteria build-up
