The filter is designed to be good at filtering out dust and other tiny particles from the air in the house. This filtering system will help protect the unit and make it work much more efficient while also filtering the air in your home. During regular maintenance the filter should probably be changed out or simply cleaned at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.
Simple indications of an inadequate main filter
- The system filter looks gray or brown and probably should be replaced now
- It is greatly recommended to replace your air filter four times a year so as to have cleaner breathable air
- When you hold the filter up to the light, it will almost not show on the other side the filter
